However, it is too bad for french people who were early buyers of the app. Now we have to pay again if we want the french version.
I just moved to germany so Im going to speak English. Im 14 and most people think this is boring. I LOVE IT! Its just to bad it isnt in german for you guys. It must be really hard to read.
A very good implementation of the old game on the iPhone.

I have been a CYAN Fan for a very long time....I have joined the Ages of Myst since the early creation. I was so very pleased and happy that I had a way to relive this first World of Atrius. I have since long lost my original PC Game, so to be able to carry this one around with me is super-awesome. I may beat this a little quicker than the first (because I know what to expect), but I intend to indulge myself in the Ages of Myst for as long as I can.
If you are a MYST Fan- this application is DEFINATELY for you.
Well Im really not old enough to "remember" this game dont think, when did it come out? Anyway amazing game just like myst 5 only ptoblom is my iPod doesnt work on the stoneship age, I even resorted to a walkthroughand the "rose compass isnt

I played Myst as a child back when it first came on PC and the tactile aspect of this version only serves to immerse you even further into the game! I played the whole free version and then purchased the full version to open up the other worlds. Using the touch screen to explore is very intuitive and the 1st person view draws you into the game.
The only minor problem I had with it was that for the smallest buttons, it can sometimes take two or three tries to get the screen to recognize where you are pushing. Only mildly frustrating, but more to do with the sensitivity of the ipod than the design of the game. Being able to zoom in the game might help with this problem? Still worth playing though, as this only affects one or two puzzles in the entire game (such as powering up the rocket).
I cant wait for Riven to come out as an app - Myst has been the best $5 I have spent in a long time!
Also - if you get stuck, the help (the i at the bottom right of the screen) is very useful and easy to navigate. The hints are helpful but it doesnt give away too much at a time, and doesnt give full answers unless you click through several questions first.
Its also nice being able to have multiple save points so that you can go back to another puzzle if you get stuck. Definitely 5 stars!
Some bad moments
Was great until I got to a spot where I had to pick up a little scroll and was unable to. Pretty much stopped the game dead in its tracks fairly early on.
I played the original and the whole attraction of that game was the graphics and ambiance that was created. Thats just not here in the iPod version. The graphics are not very high resolution and theyre so small it pales in comparison to the game on a large screen. I mean the game play was okay for the time but now it feels kind of chunky as you go from screen to screen rather than pan.
For $.99 it would have been fine, just to try it out again, but $5?! Thats just crazy for what you get.
Crashing every time I launch it (or "switch to it" from the task manager)
Too bad.. I was looking forward to playing this game but I cant even open it...It crashes on the first screen. I bought this game the day before I upgraded my iphone software. It seemed to be fine with the previous version but now I cant even access the program...Hope this gets fixed soon.
I loved this game back in the day! And was excited to finally play again. unfortunately on both iphones and the touch with iOS4 crash as soon as it starts. Yes I rebooted them all. Please fix! But since its been almost a year since this app was updated is there any hope?
I dont doubt that the bugs are fixed, but I wont know until I can update v1.1.5 that I just bought last week and was never able to open without paying another $5. Do I have to pay again???
