Myst (Legacy) for Mobile App Reviews

I loved this game back in the day! And was excited to finally play again. unfortunately on both iphones and the touch with iOS4 crash as soon as it starts. Yes I rebooted them all. Please fix! But since its been almost a year since this app was updated is there any hope?

I dont doubt that the bugs are fixed, but I wont know until I can update v1.1.5 that I just bought last week and was never able to open without paying another $5. Do I have to pay again???

Much needed update and the game appears to be stable now.

Recently updated to iOS4 on my 3GS, and just downloaded the 533mg update to Myst on my iPhone and it crashes seconds into the game. Great!

This game always creeps me out with that wind and silence. I was looking at the Japanese version and thinking why is cost a dollar more for that version..btw I cant wait till Riven comes out!!

Cyan has out done themselves again with this stunning remake of the first myst from the pc. The game is intriguing as always with puzzles and riddles that are difficult that get the mind thinking. Runs flawlessly on the iPhone with fast load times and smooth gameplay. Has a nice in game hint system when one is stuck, although would love to have a in game note pad to write down codes. Awesome game, highly recommended. Excited for riven.

I just wanted to say thanks to the Cyan team for putting this game on the iPhone. I played all the Myst games from the beginning and enjoyed them all. Replay isnt necessarily a strong suit in this type of game but to have this on my iPhone 4 made me really enjoy it the second or maybe 3rd time around! I hope to see all of the games transferred to this medium because it has be fantastically enjoyable all over again!

I had played this long ago on the Mac; long enough ago that most of the puzzles were new again. Great port. This version didnt have any stability issues.

I loved the game but found that you can only play it once even though there are different endings. So if you want to replay the game or try different options you will have to buy the game again. I can only give the game one star because of this.

I remember playing this game shortly after it came out in the mid 90s. It blew my mind then. Doesnt blow it now, but its nice that I can play it on my iPod. Update: Nov. 7, 2010. I hear Riven will be released soon on iPhone and iPad.

There were a couple of spots where I couldnt complete the required actions, even though I was certain (from reading walkthroughs) of what had to be done. Specifically, the lighthouse and the tower rotation. Anyone else have these problems?

I actually waited to buy an ipod touch until Myst was available and it was worth waiting for. Even though its the the most primitive version technically, the game was updated the "real Myst" later on, its perfect for a small device like an ipod and still as beautifully done as ever.

Even though you cannot play through it multiple times....... Wait.. IMPORTANT Go into settings and click reset current game. Same for riven!!!! END OF IMPORTANCE This game takes up almost no battery life at all! 3 hours playing and lost like 9% battery....... I WANT ALL THE MYST GAMES PORTED!!!!

Great port to iPhone, but its time for an iPad version.

Unfortunately, right off the bat it wont run for me for more than a few seconds without crashing in iOS 5 on iPhone 4.

I was always a big Myst fan, game runs great on my iPhone 4. I would really love to see Myst and Riven released for the iPad and in the Mac AppStore! Pretty Please Cyan!
